The Healthy Life Forum will be held on 3 June 2020, the opening day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The Forum is one of the leading discussion platforms concerning the development of healthcare, creating a healthy lifestyle, and boosting Russians’ healthy life expectancy.
“The international community needs to unify to combat against infectious diseases in order to ensure the safety of citizens. Holding the Healthy Life Forum at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will help attract the broad international expert community to search for practical proposals to solve both national and global health problems”, Advisor to the Russian President and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov said.
The business programme of the Healthy Life Forum encompasses all the most relevant and discussed healthcare issues, including the fight against infectious, cardiovascular, and oncological diseases, demographics, healthcare funding, federal projects, and more. The Forum is supported by the Russian Ministry of Health.
“The Healthy Life Forum brings together representatives of government, business, and public organizations to build a dialogue and find solutions for implementing key projects in the healthcare sector whose main purpose is to increase the life expectancy of our citizens. Building a healthy society is a complex task that requires the involvement of a wide community of experts, and such discussion platforms are a meeting place for everyone who is interested in the healthy future of our country”, Russian Deputy Minister of Health Oleg Salagay said.
The Healthy Life Forum was originally supposed to be held on the opening day of the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi, which was postponed by a directive of the Russian Government following the World Health Organization’s announcement of an international emergency due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus infection.
In 2019, the Healthy Life Forum was attended by 3,000 people, including foreign delegations from 21 countries.
